Benefits of Ketosis...


Ketosis is a normal metabolic process, a process that keeps your body functioning.
When your body has  a limited amount of carbohydrates from food your body in turn uses yours cells to burn fat instead of storing fat from high consumption of carbohydrates. In which ketones are produced.
Ketones are made when your body breaks down fat for energy. 
Our bodies normally  gets energy from carbohydrates from food sources. However when you limit your carbohydrate intake by consuming carb friendly foods and increase daily protein consumption your body will then begin to attack stored fat and use it for energy, thus burn fat. Eliminating the process of the body using glucose (blood sugar) for energy.

Keto Diet:

When on a keto diet, you consume higher levels of fat from (Butter, Heavy cream,Olive Vegetable Coconut oils), moderate level of carbs, mostly from high fiber vegetables, Fruit (Berries) and a moderate level of protein (Fish, Chicken, Beef, Cheese, Tofu, Meat).
If following the proper daily consumption of a keto diet, your glucose levels will fall, lipase releases stored triglycerides and fatty acids travel to the liver and the liver produces KETONES (energy).

To manage a keto diet, one would need to stay within daily keto macros. Macros ( protien, carbs, fat). I use the keto calculator to manage the percentage and accurate daily macros for my body.

I currently have to stay within 25% of protein, 5% of carbohydrates and 70% of fat intake daily.
